Facts worth preserving.

Importing into Ego creates a protected copy; it does not delete the original from Photos, Files or other locations. Exporting a file can create an unencrypted copy.

Local recovery and manual backups need the original iPhone. The optional iCloud backup route has separate saved-key and completed-backup requirements; signed physical-device restore verification remains a release prerequisite. Chreia Labs cannot recover a lost recovery key.

No independent security audit, unbreakable-security guarantee, automatic original deletion or public availability is claimed. For the full boundaries, read support and recovery and the privacy policy.
